Erin: I started learning about God at a very young age. When I was just 5 years old, I asked Jesus to come into my life. I’ll never forget that day for as long as I live. I was with my Grammie and my brother, Hunter. I didn’t understand at that time what I know right now about God. But, God knew my heart as a five-year-old little girl and He made me His child.

My parents have given me a solid Christian foundation. By setting the example and giving me a solid faith foundation at a very young age – my parents have helped me to grow and continue to grow in my relationship with the Lord.  I also realized that I had to have my own relationship with Jesus. In other words, just because my parents have a relationship with Him doesn’t mean that I automatically do too. I have to have my own personal relationship with the Lord – and I do. Cam and I wrote HCWG so that you can grow your foundation on Jesus at a young age.

Cam: I was 6 years old when I started to learn about God. I asked Him to come into my heart and be my Savior. This was when I started writing my thoughts and prayers on paper too. When I started spending time with God and getting closer to Him while I was writing, He helped me and gave me comfort.

The Lord has helped me a lot in my everyday life – through struggles and the loss of my brother. I will always trust Him. I’m young so of course I still have so much to learn but I know that God will help me to know Him more every single day.

If you want to learn more about God – just ask Him. He wants you to know Him! Spend time reading the Bible. Maybe start in the New Testament book of Matthew. There’s so much to learn! Let God show you who He is. He wants to help you even with the littlest of things. He is with you always. You can trust Him.

We both still have a lot to learn but that’s okay – God will help us along the way. (that’s a poem – SWEET!)
